Self-Catering Cottages in Lower Town
Nos.33 and 37 Quay Street self-catering cottages in Lower Town, Fishguard, are in a row of three listed stone-built fishermen’s cottages that have been sitting on the quayside, gazing southwards across the peaceful and picturesque old harbour, for some 300 years.
This stunning setting has caught the eye of many an artist and cameraman,
with the cottages themselves featuring in the films Moby Dick and Under Milk Wood and as the backdrop to numerous television programmes.
We’ve carefully renovated each of these cottages so that you get the best of both worlds – the original frontages and character, along with imaginative modern extensions and bright, fresh interiors that are finished to the highest standard.
Whatever you are looking for in a holiday, Pembrokeshire has something to offer: our major music festivals, spectacular walks along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and in the National Park, boating and sailing, birdwatching, gourmet food and drink, short courses, adventure activities or simply the original bucket-and-spade experience on glorious sandy beaches.
We really love these cottages for our own family holidays and, having enjoyed many years of fun and tranquility here, we can offer you plenty of ideas on how to make the most of your stay.
Let us know if you are planning to travel by train or coach as we can collect you from the station, and if you are coming from overseas, or if you have an elderly or disabled person in your party, there may be other ways we can help.
We have a Friday changeover for both cottages. However, we are happy to be flexible for out-of-season breaks.
Whatever your needs, we will give you a warm welcome!

About
No.33 Quay Street
This is the first of the row of 19th century fishermen’s cottages on the quayside in one of Pembrokeshire’s jewels – Lower Town, Fishguard. It has been sensitively and imaginatively refurbished and provides the most perfect spot for a happy, comfy family holiday or a complete retreat from a busy city life. Full of character and interest, the cottage is a bit like a Tardis, much bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside!
“Great value, great location, great house, thank you!”
~Carol & Rick

No.37
“A great break away, with billowing, blustering winds and rain – we needed a rest so we ate out a lot. Until the next time!”
